Repurposing to help fight the virus

Asset Based Solutions free up working capital to facilitate fast turnaround

West-Midlands company, Zero Point 8 has over 40 years’ experience as specialists in design, manufacture and installation of bespoke furniture for the hospitality, retail, healthcare, commercial and education sectors.

The company had never specifically worked in the medical sector before but was quick to react when it realised it could help protect workers against COVID-19.

Quickly repurposing the business model, Zero Point 8 was soon producing vital PPE stations, acrylic protection screens, custom-made hand sanitiser stations, isolation units, pods and more for the NHS, dentists and private sector.

Each design is bespoke for the individual reception area or hospital space, in order to provide a wider protection element and help to fight the virus. It is then designed, manufactured, and installed from the company’s factory.

Mark Baker, CEO of Zero Point 8, said: “We’re a proud business and, like many others, we have been hit by the uncertainty brought about by Coronavirus. However, our knowledge and experience meant that by adapting our operations slightly, we could continue to trade whilst supporting keyworkers.

“We’re grateful to Reward Finance Group for providing Asset Based Solutions which has meant we could forge ahead with manufacturing vital medical equipment, without delay.

“Having been a client of Reward Finance Group for three years, the ongoing Asset Based Solutions quickly provide the working capital to enable us to measure, quote and fabricate bespoke products for each site and fit them within a seven-day timeframe.
